Safely collect and inactivate RNA enveloped viruses with Thermo Scientific™ Self Collection Kit for Nasal Samples. The viral inactivation meduim stabilises the viral RNA for transportation and use in subsequent in vitro diagnostic testing procedures.

The Thermo Scientific™ Self Collection Kit for Nasal Samples includes a convenient, leakproof format that can be used with unprocessed nasal swabs, and the non-hazardous formulation enables safe transport of samples and is suitable for self-collection use.

Each Thermo Scientific™ Self Collection Kit for Nasal Samples comes ready to use with individually packaged kits which contain the required materials for self collection: a 10mL tube filled with InhibiSURE Viral Inactivation Media, a single-use only nasal swab, return packaging and associated labels.

To use the kit, the individual follows 5 easy general steps:

• Check kit components and read the instructions for use prior to sample collection
• Wash your hands
• Collect the nasal sample with the swab provided and place sample into the tube of liquid medium
• Wash your hands
• Package and prepare the sample for postage

The device is intended for self-collection of nasal samples. For professional, non-laboratory, and self-collection use. This is a single use device. This product is suitable for use by: Adults aged 18 and over. Ages 14 - 17 under supervision by an individual over 18. Samples for children under the age of 13 years should be collected by an individual over 18.
