One Shot MAX Efficiency DH10B T1 Phage-Resistant E. coli have all the benefits of the DH10B genotype, with the addition of the tonA (also known as fhuA) genotype for resistance to T1 and T5 phage infection. The inclusion of the tonA genotype offers added security to protect valuable clones and libraries. MAX Efficiency DH10B T1 cells can achieve high transformation efficiency of >1 x 109 cfu/μg supercoiled plasmid, making them ideal for generating cDNA or genomic libraries, transforming large plasmids (>150 kb in size), and for situations when DNA is limiting.

MAX Efficiency DH10B T1 Phage-Resistant Cells carry mutations in the methylation-dependent restriction system (mcrA, mcrBC, and mrr), allowing construction of genomic libraries of both prokaryotic and eukaryotic genomic DNA, as well as efficient plasmid rescue from eukaryotic genomes. This strain also has the lacZΔM15 genotype, providing the option of blue-white screening on plates containing either X-Gal or Bluo-Gal. Finally, the endA1 mutation makes DH10B-T1R cells an excellent vehicle for amplifying plasmid DNA for subsequent extraction and purification.

MAX Efficiency DH10B T1 Phage-Resistant Cells offer:
• Transformation efficiencies of >1 x 109 cfu/μg
tonA (fhuA) genotype to confer resistance to T1 and T5 phage
lacZΔM15 marker that provides α-complementation of the β-galactosidase gene allowing blue/white screening on agar plates containing X-Gal or Bluo-Gal
mcrA genotypic marker and the mcrBC, mrr deletion that allows for cloning DNA that contains methylcytosine and methyladenine
endA1 mutation that enables increased plasmid yield and quantity

Convenient and efficient format
DH10B-T1R E. coli are supplied in the convenient, single-reaction One Shot format. Each tube contains enough cells for one transformation so there are no efficiency-zapping, freeze-thaw cycles, or money wasted on unused cells.
