GeneChip™ WT Pico Kit is the most flexible and sensitive target preparation method for accurate and precise analysis of the transcriptome on whole-transcriptome (WT) arrays from as few as 10 cells.

Uncover biology hidden in heterogeneous samples
Traditional whole-transcriptome expression analysis depends on samples derived from a relatively large number of cells. However, the gene expression measurements from these large cell populations represent an average that can often mask key differences between subpopulations. To better understand the biological significance of these differences in gene expression, researchers are increasingly focusing on smaller, characterized subsets of cells. WT Pico Kit, designed specifically to process small amounts of input RNA from different sample types, expands the power of Applied Biosystems WT array technology to enable researchers to perform whole-transcriptome analysis from just a few cells.

Complete flexibility for small quantities of RNA
• Reveal the biology in small subpopulations of cells using as little as 100 pg of total RNA (approximately 10 cells).
• Benefit from total flexibility with a single kit for various key sample types, including cultured cells, fresh/fresh frozen or formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues, and whole blood, without the need for globin or ribosomal RNA removal.
• Obtain the highest accuracy with an assay that ensures strand specificity is preserved.
• Perform multiple layers of analysis by combining with transcriptome arrays to accurately measure gene- or transcript-level expression of coding and long non-coding RNA.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What reagent kit should I use with my array?

Please refer to the Microarray Reagent Guide for Arrays and Expression Kits to match the correct reagents your array.

Find additional tips, troubleshooting help, and resources within our Microarray Analysis Support Center.

Where can I download the control sequences for expression arrays?

Sequences of all our controls can be downloaded from the sequence file that is available on product pages on thermofisher.com.

For example, here is the link to the product page for Clariom D Assay, human: https://www.thermofisher.com/order/catalog/product/902923
Go to the "Software & Data Analysis" section and under "Support Files", click on "Sequence Files: Clariom D Array, human Probe Sequences, tabular format", which you can open in Excel.

Note: If the control sequence file is not available, please contact techsupport@thermofisher.com.

Are pseudogene databases included in the design of expression arrays?

Pseudogene databases were not included in the design of expression arrays.

What is the shelf life of the Poly-A RNA Control's first dilution during processing of expression microarrays?

The first dilution of the Poly-A RNA Control can be stored at -20 degrees C for 6 weeks (with up to 4 freeze/thaws).

How long can I store labeled cDNA when working with expression microarrays?

Labeled material can be stored for 2 weeks at -20 degrees C.
