n-Butyl acrylate is used in polymer manufacturing, textile, leather finishing, formulating paints and adhesive. It is also used in the production of homopolymers and co-polymers like acrylic acid and its salts, esters, amides, methacrylates, acrylonitrile, maleates, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, styrene, butadiene and unsaturated polyesters. Further, it is also used in making vitamin B1.

Solubility
Miscible with ethanol, ethyl ether and acetone. Slightly miscible with water and carbon tetrachloride.

Notes
Light sensitive. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, strong acids, strong bases, catalytic metals, organotin catalysts, amines, peroxides and halogens.
