Dionex™ Easion™ and ICS-900 eLearning Courses

The Dionex™ Easion™ and ICS-900 eLearning courses provide you with foundational knowledge and basic skills that you need to use and benefit from your instrument. You will find a series of eLearning courses which can cover different topics such as foundational theory and/or basic operations principle and/or user maintenance and troubleshooting.

The Dionex™ ICS-900 Foundational Theory eLearning course is an introduction to the general principles of ion chromatography. This course provides a review of the basic principles of chromatography and the history of the development of ion chromatography (IC) technology. The standard components of the IC system and how these facilitate the successful separation of analytes will be covered. Additional concepts discussed include:

• What is ion chromatography?
• A detailed description of the ion exchange process
• Effects of mobile & stationary phases
• Basic overview of Reagent-Free™ Ion Chromatography (RFIC™) technology
• IC columns and their factors affecting peak resolution
• Principles of suppressed conductivity detection

This Foundational Theory eLearning course is similar to the Foundational Theory Courses for the Dionex™ Integrion™ HPIC™, the Dionex™ ICS-6000 HPIC™, the Dionex™ Aquion™ ICS and the Dionex™ ICS-5000 HPIC™

The Dionex™ Easion™ and ICS-900 basic operations with Chromeleon™ eLearning course will provide basic guidelines for the setup and operation of the instrument. This course will give an overview of the different components of the instruments, the type of eluents and how to create a method in Chromeleon. Some of the topics covered in this course include:

• Easion and ICS-900 Instrument Overview
• Flow Path and Components
• Displacement Chemical Regeneration
• General Operation

The Dionex™ Easion™ ICS User Maintenance and Troubleshooting eLearning course discusses fundamental troubleshooting principles and definitions. It provides a review of an overall description of an Ion Chromatography System setup with conductivity detection and discusses its vital signs. Some of the topics covered include:

• Troubleshooting tips that will help quickly resume operation to generate accurate, reliable data
• Routine maintenance guidelines
• Troubleshooting tips on most probable symptoms/problems.

This User Maintenance and Troubleshooting course is similar to the Dionex™ Aquion™ ICS User Maintenance and Troubleshooting courses.
