The PrepFiler BTA Automated Forensic DNA Extraction Kit is part of an integrated solution that includes proven PrepFiler BTA reagents for use in automated, high-throughput workflows to provide reliable, simplified, and time-saving DNA purification.

Key features include:
• Improves the overall yield, concentration, and purity of DNA isolated from forensic samples, while enabling removal of PCR inhibitors
• Improves the downstream genotyping success rate to help ensure that critical and often limited casework samples can be successfully analyzed
• Contains specifically developed magnetic particles and reagents that optimize DNA binding and elution of DNA in a small volume
• Offers streamlined protocols to process an extensive variety of forensic sample types

The PrepFiler BTA Automated Forensic DNA Extraction Kit uses magnetic particles with an optimized multi-component surface chemistry to deliver robust and reliable DNA yield from the most challenging forensic samples, including bone, teeth, touch/trace samples, and adhesive substrates. This kit is designed to help improve the overall yield and concentration of DNA recovered, while enabling removal of PCR inhibitors. This means greater quantities of highly purified DNA for improved downstream genotyping results.

To enable customer flexibility in sample processing, plastic consumables for both lysis and purification processing are not included.
