Obtain all the connectors and capillaries needed to plumb your system and ensure perfect connections every time. The Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ Viper™ Application Switching Solutions Kit contains Viper Fingertight Fittings which avoid data-destroying dead volumes in the capillary connections of your application switching HPLC or UHPLC system. Even with conventional columns and moderate pressures, poor connections can cause retention time shifts and peak distortions. Viper Fittings seal at the tip of the tubing to eliminate dead volumes and make it easier to plumb your HPLC or UHPLC system.
Conventional stainless steel HPLC connectors use a ferrule and a nut to establish a connection. A flaw of this design is that a void volume-free connection is not guaranteed, particularly when changing the tubing between differently shaped threads (e.g. when changing a column).
