MetaGenID Software identifies bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, and antibiotic resistance factors in whole-genome shotgun metagenomic samples and discriminates pathogens from their 'near neighbors' using statistical and computational methods, with no prior assumptions regarding what is present in the sample.

MetaGenID Software uses raw, unassembled reads as input and matches the sequences against the GenBook™ database, its curated reference database of known pathogens and microbes. The GenBook library constitutes hundreds of millions of marker sequences and represents both coding and non-coding sequences that are shared or uniquely identified across taxonomic levels and/or distinct nodes of a phylogenetic tree.

Purchase of MetaGenID Software credits results in the addition of these credits to your Thermo Fisher cloud account. Credits are then deducted from your account as the software is used on a credit to sample basis. See Terms and Conditions document below.
