Minerals Modified Glutamate Medium (Dehydrated)

Identify members of the coliform group of bacteria in food and water samples with Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Minerals Modified Glutamate Medium (Dehydrated). The mineral content of the medium allows for the superior cultivation and enumeration of coliforms.

Use Minerals Modified Glutamate Medium to identify coliforms in food and water samples by the technique known as the Multiple Tube Method, Dilution Method, or the Most Probable Number (MPN) method.

• Superior performance over MacConkey Broth in the detection of Escherichia coli.
• Medium of choice for detection of small numbers of Escherichia coli in chlorinated water.
• Effectively isolates Escherichia coli from sea water.
