Total culture area is achieved by way of the three parallel layers and a straight neck design that works effectively within automation systems. These flasks are subjected to Nunclon Delta treatment, a proprietary cell culture surface treatment that offers maximum adhesion for a broad range of cell types.

Three layers of growth surface provide a total culture area of 500 cm² in the same footprint as a standard Nunc 175 cm² flask.

This depends largely on the cell line and working conditions (considerations include headspace for gas exchange, supplements used, and optimal feeding schedule, among others) but we do offer guidelines for development purposes (0.3 to 0.5 mL per cm2) .
