Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Do you offer class A plastic graduated cylinders?

We do not offer plastic graduated cylinders with Class A accuracy. It is very difficult to reach Class A accuracy with plastic, which is why they are almost always glass.

What are your ASTM certified labware offerings?

Class B graduated cylinders meet ASTM E1272 and ISO 6706. Double-scale pharmaceutical graduates meet ASTM E1094. Class B volumetric flasks meet ASTM E288 and ISO 384. Burets meet ASTM E287. It is important to note that after autoclaving, even certified products may no longer be as accurate.

What is the difference between your Class B and Economy graduated cylinders?

Class B cylinders are certified to meet ASTM accuracy and precision standards. Economy cylinders bear no specific accuracy or precision certification. It is important to note that after autoclaving, even certified products may no longer be as accurate.
