Nutrient Agar

Cultivate and isolate fastidious pathogens and other microorganisms with clearly visible hemolytic reactions with Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Nutrient Agar, a formulation designed to provide especially nutritious media to permit maximum recovery of delicate microorganisms without affecting their hemolytic reactions. An improved version of Blood Agar Base, the medium can be used without the supplementation of blood to subculture microorganisms for maintenance purposes, or to check the purity of subcultures from isolation plates prior to further testing.

Use Nutrient Agar for the cultivation of a variety of organisms without interfering with their hemolytic reactions.
