Perform effortless Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST) using Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Mueller Hinton Agar with 2% Salt, a medium designed and manufactured according to the European standard, EUCAST, and the American standard, CLSI. The addition of 2% salt to the medium is recommended when testing staphyococci with oxacillin by either the agar dilution or E test method.1

The major use of Mueller-Hinton Agar with 2% Salt is for Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing.. The medium is designed and manufactured according to CLSI standards and can be used in internationally recognized standard procedures. 

The inclusion of starch in the medium ensures that toxic factors produced during microbial growth will be absorbed, and its presence is often essential to establish growth from very small inocula.
