Polymeric (cellulose, cellulose PEI, and alumina) and “G” (silica plates) binders are stable in aqueous solvents and virtually all mobile phases, and withstand many aggressive detection reagents
Flexible plastic backing for high durability—can be cut to any size required and stapled into a lab notebook; backing also makes it easy to isolate one spot for subsequent isolation/detection
Silica-gel plates separate weakly to strongly polar substances by adsorption chromatography
Cellulose plates for partition chromatography
Cellulose PEI plates separate weak anion exchangers such as amino acids and peptides (Store PEI plates at 4°C [39°F]; if stored at room temperature, plates may turn slightly yellow, affecting separation. Predevelop in distilled water to minimize yellow color.)
