Simplify complex applications while improving ion chromatography (IC) performance by automatically removing matrix interferences such as cations (including transition metals), anions, or hydrophobic substances with the Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ InGuard H Cartridge. Installed in line between the autosampler and IC injection valve, this cartridge contains styrene-based, sulfonic acid resin in the hydronium form. Dionex InGuard H cartridges are ideal for sample pretreatment and removal of alkaline earth or transition metals, and can also be used for pH adjustment of basic samples.

After pH reduction with the Dionex InGuard H cartridge, carbonate levels can be reduced to very low levels by passing the sample through a Thermo Scientific Dionex CRD 200 Carbonate Removal Device.
