Dulbecco's Phosphate-Buffered Saline (DPBS) is a balanced salt solution used for a variety of cell culture applications, such as washing cells before dissociation, transporting cells or tissue, diluting cells for counting, and preparing reagents. Formulations with calcium and magnesium are generally used as transport media or for reagent preparation. We offer a variety of Gibco™ DPBS formulations for a range of cell culture applications. Gibco™ DPBS is manufactured at a cGMP compliant facility, located in Grand Island, New York. The facility is registered with the FDA as a medical device manufacturer and is certified to ISO 13485 standards. For supply chain continuity, we offer a comparable Gibco™ DPBS product made in our Scotland facility (21300-017). This facility is registered with the FDA as a medical device manufacturer and is certified to the ISO 13485 standard.

Powder forms of Gibco™ cell culture medium require sodium bicarbonate supplementation, pH adjustment, and filtration at the time of preparation (see protocol for details).

This product is not used for in vitro diagnostic purpose in some countries.
