All XL preparative columns are equipped with Dynamic Axial Compression technology to increase column lifetime. Return your XL column to Thermo Fisher to have it refreshed with base deactivated, silica-based media with C18 retention without paying for new hardware.

Choose XtendedLife Hardware at Initial Purchase
- Improves column lifetime by incorporating an internal Dynamic Axial Compression (DAC) system, which ensures that constant tension is applied to the media and eliminates the risk of void formation during column use.
- High-quality media yields excellent lot-to-lot performance.
- Compatible with SFC upon request.
- Available in dimensions up to 50mm i.d.
When column performance is past optimal, use the XL repack service:
- Pay for just the media, not the hardware.
- Enjoy cost savings over time compared to purchasing standard hardware.
- Return your column to Thermo Fisher to have it repacked and sent back to you.
- After completing your purchase, our team will reach out to you with instructions on how to return your column.
