3500 Dx Series POP-6™ Polymer is a separation matrix for the 3500 Dx⁄3500xL Dx genetic analyzers. It is conveniently offered in easy-to-use pouch packages in either 960- or 384-sample size formats.

Easy to Use
POP polymers are pre-formulated in a single-use pouch, which not only saves time but also ensures reliability and consistency.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Label
RFID labels encode easy-to-track information such as part⁄lot number, samples remaining, and expiration dates (displayed on software dashboard).

Robust Formulation
POP polymers are formulated for a wide range of applications.

Reproducible Results
POP™ polymers dynamically coat the capillary wall to control electro-osmotic flow. Their defined quality and uniform consistency eliminate guesswork and help to ensure reproducibility. POP polymers are specifically formulated to separate DNA fragments of a known size range at a desired resolution and run time.

Performance Optimized Polymer
This product is intended for in-vitro diagnostic use on the Applied Biosystems 3500 Dx Series Genetic Analyzers and is not validated for use with other systems or applications. The 3500 Dx Series Genetic Analyzer is to be used by trained operators in the analysis of human DNA or RNA, for the detection of genetic changes that may lead to disease presence or susceptibility. Off-label uses such as fragment analysis are for research use only. Refer to the Applied Biosystems™ 3500 Dx⁄3500xL Dx Genetic Analyzer User Guide for further details.

구성 및 보관
Store the polymer pouch at 2-8°C until ready to use.
Note that expired pouches cannot be used on the instrument.

On-instrument life/usage

3500 Dx (8 capillary) Genetic Analyzer: lesser of 7 days or 384 samples or 60 injections

3500xL Dx (24 capillary) Genetic Analyzer: lesser of 7 days or 384 samples or 20 injections

The pouch includes additional polymer volume to accommodate both installation and a reasonable number of post-installation wizard operations such as bubble removal without affecting the number of samples/injections available.

자주 묻는 질문(FAQ)

When I started my run on the Applied Biosystems 3500/3500xL Genetic Analyzer, an error occurred: "Unstable Electrophoresis current detected, check for air bubbles" but I don't see any bubbles. What else can cause this?

Some of the other causes of an Unstable Electrophoresis current detected error message are:

1.Leak on the system
2. Polymer that:
-Has expired
-Has been left on the instrument for more than the recommended time
-Is a mixture of expired polymer and non-expired polymer
3. Running Buffer that was:
-On the instrument longer than 2 weeks
-Not filled to the fill line or evaporated below the fill line
4. An arcing event that was not cleaned afterwards using the water wash wizard
5. Not performing regular maintenance on the instrument
6. Hardware issues

Inspect the system for leaks. If you do not see any leaks on the system, perform the wash the pump chamber and channels wizard using the conditioning pouch and place fresh, non-expired polymer and fresh Anode and Cathode buffer containers. If the problem persists, a service call may be required.

Do I need to replace the buffer every 14 days if the Applied Biosystems 3500/3500xL Genetic Analyzer is not in use?

If the instrument is not in use, it is not necessary to replace the buffer every 14 days. However, the buffer level needs to remain at the fill line to prevent the capillary or array from drying out. Top off the buffer volume with water if necessary. Replace the anode and cathode buffer containers prior to starting a new run.
