Multiskan FC brings together over 40 years experience of the well-known Multiskan product brand, with features for enhanced usability. The Multiskan FC has a 340–850 nm wavelength range, enabling a wide variety of applications from enzyme kinetic studies to Lowry assays. The instrument provides fast and accurate measurements enabling complete 96-well plate reading in less than seven seconds. The instrument is also equipped with linear shaking as standard. A model with an incubator enables incubation temperatures up to 50°C and the capacity to read 384-well plates. SkanIt software supports optimal use of the instrument with a visual workflow, effortless data analysis and exporting capabilities.

The Multiskan FC Microplate Photometer (same instrument as the Fisherbrand accuSkan FC Filter-Based Microplate Photometer) is factory-calibrated and performs self-diagnostics on start-up to ensure consistent results over time. If you need to verify that the instrument is working properly, one of the options below can be utilized:

- Performance can be user-verified using Multiskan Verification Plate (Cat. No. 24072800, for 8 wavelengths or Cat. No. 24072805, for 16 wavelengths).

- The other option for verification is by purchasing our qualification service as an IQ/OQ/PQ or IPV that is required for laboratories that operate within a quality management system, comply with global standards (e.g., GLP, GCP, GMP, ISO 17025, and ISO 15189), and/or follow country-specific regulations (e.g., US FDA 21 CFR Part 11, CLIA, and CAP). My Multiskan FC needs a new lamp. What is the catalog or part number? Can I replace it myself?

Yes, the Halogen lamp 6V/10W is Cat. No. 1410101. You can replace the lamp yourself using instructions in the Multiskan FC User Manual: https://www.thermofisher.com/order/catalog/product/51119100

I think my Multiskan FC isn't working right, but there's no error message. How can I check?

If the results are not as expected, performance can be verified using Multiskan Verification Plate (Cat. Nos. 24072800 (for 8 wavelengths, use with either model) or 24072805 (for 16 wavelengths, use with 51119100)).
