MicroPES™ Laminated Flat Sheet Membrane

MicroPES™ Reinforced Flat Sheet Membrane combines excellent filtration characteristics of a Polyethersulfone membrane with a reinforcing backing in order to increase mechanical stability for demanding operating conditions. Designed for OEMs to process into frames and plates, e.g. for MBR applications in industrial and municipal wastewater treatment or TFF filtration applications.

The MicroPES™ Reinforced Flat Sheet Membrane provides proven throughput and excels in applications requiring secure bacteria retention. Manufactured from polyethersulfone, the membrane offers a broad chemical resistance (pH 2-12) and remains spontaneously wettable over extended periods and does not require wetting agents after drying or chemical cleaning, supporting reliable long‐term operation. Especially in wastewater filtration applications, the MicroPES™ Reinforced Flat Sheet Membrane delivers high performance by positioning the retention layer near the upstream side, which facilitates effective cleaning of the filter cake from the membrane surface.
  • The lamination of the membrane increases the mechanical stability and thus enables operation under challenging mechanical conditions
  • The MicroPES™ Laminated Flat Sheet Membrane can be manufactured into filter plates by using common welding technologies in which the nonwoven side is welded to the frame
  • The MicroPES™ Laminated Flat Sheet Membrane can withstand chemically enhanced cleaning procedures with the following common chemicals: hydrochloric acid, citric acid, acetic acid, sodium hydroxide, or sodium hypochlorite (pH 2 to pH 12) without affecting the characteristics and the mechanical stability of the membrane
