The PrioCHECK™ PRRSV Antibody ELISA is specially designed for the detection of both the American and the European genotypes of the PRRS virus in serum samples. Plates are coated with ORF 7 protein (common to both genotypes) ensuring the detection of antibodies to both virus types with high sensitivity and specificity. The PrioCHECK™ PRRSV Antibody ELISA shows a high agreement with the most frequently used ELISA in the field and is therefore the most powerful alternative on the PRRS test market.

Test procedure
The PrioCHECK™ PRRSV Antibody ELISA is a diagnostic kit based on ELISA technology. It follows a simple four step protocol consisting of sample preparation, sample incubation, conjugate incubation, and detection. Easy handling makes the test convenient and fast: 90 samples can be analyzed within 150 minutes. Serum samples are incubated in an ELISA plate coated with the ORF 7 protein of PRRSV. Anti-PRRSV antibodies present in the sample bind to the antigen. Plates are then washed and an anti-swine antibody labeled with horse radish peroxidase (HRPO) is used to detect antibodies bound to the ORF 7 coated plate. Color development using tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) substrate measured optically at a wavelength of 450 nm shows the presence of antibodies directed against PRRSV.
