Halt Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail

Do you offer the components of the Halt Protease and Phosphatase Cocktail individually?

Yes. Halt Protease, Halt Phosphatase and Protease/Phosphatase combined Inhibitor Cocktails are available. In addition, some of the individual inhibitors of the Halt Protease and Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail are offered separately.

Is the Halt Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail (Cat. No. 78420) EDTA-free?

Yes, the Halt Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail (Cat. No. 78420) is EDTA-free. It just contains the indicated phosphatase Inhibitors.

I accidentally stored Halt Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail Bulk (100 mL) (Cat. No. 78420B) at -20 degrees C. Can I still use it?

We recommend storing Halt Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail Bulk (100 mL) at 4 degrees C. We do not recommend freezing it. One of the components of this cocktail (orthovandate) tends to form higher order structures and other oxidation states. These are colored products which can cause the cocktail to vary from colorless to yellow (and still be active). If the cocktail turns green, however, which can happen during freezing, it means that the orthovandate has lost its activity.

If the cocktail was accidentally frozen, we recommend thawing it out and examining the color. If the cocktail has turned green, we recommend discarding it.

Abstract
Metabolic Alterations Caused by Simultaneous Loss of HK2 and PKM2 Leads to Photoreceptor Dysfunction and Degeneration.
Authors:Weh E,Goswami M,Chaudhury S,Fernando R,Miller N,Hager H,Sheskey S,Sharma V,Wubben TJ,Besirli CG
Journal:Cells
PubMed ID:37626853
HK2 and PKM2 are two main regulators of aerobic glycolysis. Photoreceptors (PRs) use aerobic glycolysis to produce the biomass necessary for the daily renewal of their outer segments. Previous work has shown that HK2 and PKM2 are important for the normal function and long-term survival of PRs but are dispensable ... More
DYRK2 controls GSTPI expression through ubiquitination and degradation of Twist1 to reduce chemotherapy resistance caused by EMT in breast cancer.

Journal:Journal of molecular histology
PubMed ID:39641870
BACKGROUND: Breast cancer (BC) poses a significant global health challenge, with chemotherapy resistance, especially to docetaxel, remaining a major obstacle in effective treatment. The molecular mechanisms underlying this resistance are critical for developing targeted therapeutic strategies. OBJECTIVE: This study aims to explore the role of dual-specificity tyrosine phosphorylation-regulated kinase 2 ... More
Inhibition of Pim kinases triggers a broad antiviral activity by affecting innate immunity and via the PI3K-Akt-mTOR axis the endolysosomal system.

Zoonoses such as ZIKV and SARS-CoV-2 pose a severe risk to global health. There is urgent need for broad antiviral strategies based on host-targets filling gaps between pathogen emergence and availability of therapeutic or preventive strategies. Significant reduction of pathogen titers decreases spread of infections and thereby ensures health systems ... More
Tyrosine-Based Cross-Linking of Peptide Antigens to Generate Nanoclusters with Enhanced Immunogenicity: Demonstration Using the Conserved M2e Peptide of Influenza A.
Authors:Wilks LR,Joshi G,Grisham MR,Gill HS
Journal:ACS infectious diseases
PubMed ID:34432416
A method of creating nanoclusters (NCs) from soluble peptide molecules is described utilizing an approach based on a tyrosine-tyrosine cross-linking reaction. A reactive tag comprising histidine and tyrosine residues was introduced at the termini of the peptide molecules. The cross-linking reaction led to the creation of dityrosine bonds within the ... More
