Orbitor™ RS2 Microplate Mover for QuantStudio™ Real-time PCR Systems

This Orbitor RS2 Microplate Mover is designed for use with the QuantStudio 7 Pro, QuantStudio 7 Flex, and QuantStudio 12K Flex real-time PCR systems, enabling real-time PCR in automated environments for increased sample throughput.

Extensive vertical reach allows the robot to access virtually any microplate instrument location, including stacked instruments, and its telescoping arm can reach a variety of distances. The ingenious arm travels right through the base, resulting in rapid and efficient movements. The Orbitor RS2 Microplate Mover has an integrated barcode scanner for greater flexibility and a full 360°workspace with unlimited base rotation that eliminates the need for hard stops and reverse movements.

Advanced closed-loop motion control provides collision detection and position monitoring, allowing the mover to quickly resume without the need to re-home. With a wide range of grip-control functionality, this mover combines performance with innovation. From variable force control to plate detection, the feature-set is designed to impress. The Orbitor RS2 Microplate Mover is powered by Thermo Scientific Momentum Workflow Scheduling Software, combining power with ease of use.

Couple this Orbitor RS2 Microplate Mover with the applicable pre-configured plate storage and handling option for the QuantStudio systems to complete your automation bundle. Two plate storage and handling options are available: sequential access stacks (40 plates/3 stacks) and random access hotels (24 plates/3 hotels).

For integration of two QuantStudio systems with the Orbitor RS2 mover, the Dual QuantStudio System Integration Kit is required in addition to the automation bundle.
