0.85% Saline Solution

Perform sample dilution in qualitative procedures in microbial applications with isotonic Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ 0.85% Saline Solution. Sodium chloride at 0.9% concentration maintains the osmotic balance of the medium thereby maintaining cell morphology and integrity. The solution does not interfere with any biochemical reaction and/or antibiotic susceptibility test. It is recommended by the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) for preparation of bacterial suspensions used for susceptibility testing.^1,2
