Biotin-XX EGF는 기존 보다 더 긴 잔기를 가지고 있어 EGF 수용체와의 결합력을 높이고 dye –streptavidin 분자, Qdot™ nanocrystals–streptavidin 분자, 효소-접합 streptavidin의 결합을 촉진합니다. 표지된 EGF를 사용해 과학자들은 수용체-막 (receptor-membrane) 상호작용과 수용체 분포를 연구하고 EGF와 수용체 상호작용의 반응속도 상수를 계산할 수 있습니다.
