MagicMedia™ E. coli Expression Medium is specifically designed to dramatically increase the yield of recombinant proteins in T7-regulated E. coli expression systems without monitoring culture O.D. (optical densities) or adding inducer. The proprietary MagicMedia™ formulation enables E. coli growth to reach culture densities 3-10-fold higher than those achieved with traditional LB + IPTG methods, allowing you to:
• Achieve 3-10 times higher protein yields (Figure 1) with much less hands-on time
• Eliminate time-consuming O.D. monitoring steps-simply inoculate prepared MagicMedia™ E. coli Expression Medium, grow the culture overnight, and harvest (Figure 2)
• Reduce culture volume to simplify handling and scale-up processes

'Post-translational modification of proteins regulates many cellular processes. Some modifications, including N-linked glycosylation, serve multiple functions. For example, the attachment of N-linked glycans to nascent proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) facilitates proper folding, while retention of high mannose glycans on misfolded glycoproteins serves as a signal for retrotranslocation and
