Cetrimide Agar (EP,USP,JP,BP)

Selectively isolate and identify Pseudomonas aeruginosa from range of samples with ready-to-use Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Cetrimide Agar (EP,USP,JP,BP). The medium contains magnesium chloride and potassium sulphate for improved pigment production and recovery of Pseudomonas aeruginosa while strongly suppressing Klebsiella, Proteus and Providencia spp. The medium conforms to European Pharmacopoeia for Microbial Limit Tests¹.

Cetrimide Agar (EP,USP,JP,BP) is a modification of the original medium described by Brown and Lowbury² for the selective isolation and differentiation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa from a range of samples.
