Malt Extract Agar

Detect, isolate and enumerate yeasts and molds with ready-to-use Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Malt Extract Agar. Mycological peptone in the medium gives a luxuriant growth of yeasts and molds with typical morphology and pigmentation. Due to the acidic nature of the medium, it inhibits the growth of bacteria resulting in improved isolation of yeasts and molds from materials heavily infected with bacteria.
