Remel™ Brucella Broth (Dehydrated)

Cultivate Brucella species and a variety of microorganisms using Thermo Scientific™ Remel™ Brucella Broth (Dehydrated). Brucella Broth prepared according to the formula of Albimi Broth is recommended by the American Public Health Association¹. Albimi Broth is used to isolate Brucella from dairy products^, and foods². Brucella Broth is used for preliminary enrichment of Brucella and it is isolated using Brucella Broth in a biphasic medium.

This medium contains casein and meat peptones which provide nitrogen, amino acids and peptides necessary for bacterial growth. Sodium bisulfite is a reducing agent. Yeast extract is a source of B-complex vitamins. Sodium chloride is a source of essential electrolytes and maintains osmotic equilibrium. Dextrose provides a ready source of energy.
