The IHC Antigen Retrieval Solution- Low pH (10X) is designed for use during the heat induced epitope retrieval (HIER) step prior to immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections. The use of this buffer in combination with heat (often by microwave, water bath, or pressure cooker) has been shown to restore the antigenicity of proteins modified during the formalin fixation of tissue. This buffer is supplied as a 10X stock solution. Dilution of this buffer to 1X using reagent grade water results in a 10 mM Sodium Citrate solution, pH 6.0.

Reported Application
Immunohistochemical Staining of Formalin-Fixed Paraffin Embedded Tissue Sections

'Endothelial cell injury in vascular arterial walls is a hallmark of atherosclerosis. Pterostilbene (Pts) has been shown to have an anti-oxidative and anti-apoptotic effect in numerous diseases via regulation of intracellular metabolism. The purpose of this study was to investigate the protective effect and possible mechanism of Pts against endothelial ... More
Puerarin inhibits apoptosis and inflammation in myocardial cells via PPARa expression in rats with chronic heart failure.

'Chronic heart failure affects myocardial energy metabolism and cardiac function. Puerarin has been reported to improve cardiac function through regulation of energy metabolism in mice with myocardial infarction. The aim of the current study was to determine whether puerarin can improve body weight and reduce inflammation and apoptosis in rats ... More
