About the XCell SureLock Mini-Cell 
The XCell SureLock Mini-Cell is a vertical mini-protein gel electrophoresis system compatible with all Invitrogen mini precast gels and Surecast handcast gels. The Mini-Cell is simple, sturdy, and easy to use. Each XCell SureLock Mini-Cell can accommodate up to two gels per run. Run times may vary depending on buffer conditions and power supplies used.

About Novex Tris-Glycine gels, WedgeWell format
Novex Tris-Glycine mini gels are polyacrylamide gels based on traditional Laemmli protein electrophoresis, allowing the use of Laemmli sample and running buffers. They enable consistent performance and separation of a wide range of proteins into well-resolved bands. Novex Tris-Glycine gels, WedgeWell format, have innovative wedge-shaped wells that allow up to two times more sample load volume than other 1.0 mm-thick gels. The wedge-shaped wells also have larger openings, making sample loading easier.

For transferring your proteins to a membrane, we recommend using for Novex Tris-Glycine Native Running Buffer (LC2672) or Novex Tris-Glycine Transfer Buffer (LC3675) for traditional wet transfer using the XCell II Blot Module (EI9051). Alternatively, rapid semi-dry transfer can be performed using the Invitrogen Power Blotter or rapid dry transfer using the iBlot 3 Gel Transfer Device (IB31001).
