These Guardian paper bags from Med-Con weigh 57 g. They are autoclavable.
- Method of sterilization:
- Steam, E.T.O. gas, gamma-rays
- Not for plasma
- Method of use:
- Paper bags should only be filled to 0.75 of capacity
- Free space of at least 3 cm from seal area should be maintained in order to avoid stress on seal
- After sealing, filled bags should be placed in sterilization basket, so they are supported by one another
- Sealing:
- Temperature should be approximately 180 °C
- For paper bags rotary sealing machines are most suitable
- Sterile removal of contents:
- Scissors should be used to cut and remove contents
- Not desirable to peel open paper bags and maintain good aseptic presentation
- Avoid tearing open bags, can lead to generation of undesirable particles
- Features:
- Accordance with EN ISO 11607 and AS 1079.3
- Gusseted paper bags with heat sealable glue line at top
- 60 g/m2 sterilization paper
