El sustrato de peptidasa de CMAC, t-BOC-Leu-MET, puede usarse para medir la actividad de la peptidasa en solución o en células vivas. El sustrato tiene un máximo de excitación/emisión de ∼ 330/403. Después de la escisión por peptidasas, el producto produce fluorescencia azul con un máximo de excitación/emisión de ∼ 351/430 nm.
