El DiFMUP es un derivado fluorado de 4-más del 90 fosfato (MUP) que tiene un menor pKa que el de MUP, lo que convierte al DiFMUP en un sustrato excelente para el análisis continuo de fosfatasas ácidas a pH bajo. El producto reactivo de DiFMUP posee una excitación/emisión máxima de ∼ 358/450 nm. El DiFMUP también está disponible en diez viales de 10 mg cada uno (D-22065).
