By employing synthetic fibrous AEX chromatographic clarification media, the 3M Harvest RC clarifier enables single-stage clarification of low- to high-density CHO cell cultures (>40 million cells per mL) with high product recovery. This novel method of harvest clarification condenses the multiple stages of traditional process into a single stage while reducing consumption of buffer and water compared to depth filtration. Predictable scalability from laboratory to manufacturing capsules allows for simplified process development and planning.
