Titanium(IV) bromide, 98%, Thermo Scientific Chemicals

Titanium(IV) bromide is used as a Lewis acid catalyst in organic synthesis. It reacts with tetrahydrofurnan and 2-methylpyridine and forms adducts such as TiBr₄(THF)₂ and TiBr₄(2-MePy). It is also used for the formation of titanium silicide thin films on silicon substrates.
