CaptureSelect CD81 Magnetic Agarose Beads are high-capacity and high-throughput magnetic affinity particles for exosome purification using manual or robotic magnetic separators. The CaptureSelect CD81 affinity ligand recognizes the tetraspanin protein CD81 on the surface of human extracellular vesicles (EVs) like exosomes, enabling purification of CD81-expressing exosomes. CD81-expressing exosomes can be directly isolated from complex source materials in a single step with high purity and yield.

CaptureSelect products contain affinity ligands based on recombinant single-domain antibody fragments (VHH) created by a proprietary technology. The VHH affinity ligand is a 12–15 kDa fragment comprising the three complementarity-determining regions (CDRs) that form the antigen-binding domain, efficiently produced in yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae by a production process free of any animal components (animal origin-free).
