I need to digest my total RNA for my ribonuclease protection assay. What RNase should I use?

Total RNA can be digested using RNAse A or RNase T1. A mix of both can be used in ribonuclease protection assays.

Is RNase A treatment necessary when isolating HMW DNA from cells or tissue samples?

The RNase A treatment is optional but highly recommended for optimal results. RNAse A treatment helps to remove RNA and single stranded DNA, increasing the purity of double stranded DNA. We recommend using the PureLink RNase A (20 mg/mL) (Cat. No. 12091021).
