The GeneBLAzer™ In Vivo Detection Kit measures β-lactamase reporter activity in live mammalian cells, using the β-lactamase substrate CCF2-AM. The GeneBLAzer™ Detection System provides the following advantages:

In vivo detection kits contain 50 μg of CCF2-AM substrate (enough for 375 96-well reactions). Substrate should be stored at -20°C, dessicated, and protected from light. All reagents are guaranteed stable 6 months when properly stored.

Do you offer an alternative to GeneBLAzer In Vivo Detection Kit (Cat. No. 12578134)?
The following are two alternatives to the GeneBLAzer In Vivo Detection Kit:
- LiveBLAzer FRET-B/G Loading Kit with CCF2-AM (Cat. No. K1032, K1025)
- LiveBLAzer FRET-B/G Loading Kit with CCF4-AM (Cat. No. K1095, K1096, K1030)
Concerning CCF2-AM and CCF4-AM, these molecules differ by two carbons in the bridge that links the coumarin moiety to the lactam ring. Both are in the membrane-permeable, esterified forms, and can be used for assays in intact cells. CCF4-AM has better solubility properties than CCF2-AM and is thus best suited for screening applications. In addition, CCF4-AM has slightly better FRET and thus slightly lower background than CCF2-AM.
Note: We also offer the loading solutions as a separate kit, Loading Solutions (Cat. No. K1026), and CCF2-AM is also available as a standalone product (Cat. No. K1023).
