Microplate Reader Verification Plates

Thermo Scientific™ Microplate Reader Verification Plates are designed to be convenient solutions for verifying and documenting the optical performance of compatible Thermo Scientific™ microplate readers. The portfolio includes options for photometric, fluorometric, and luminometric performance verification, helping laboratories maintain confidence in measurement quality and instrument consistency over time.

Available verification plates

• Multifunctional Verification Plate (N03394M2): Verifies photometric and fluorometric performance. Compatible with Varioskan™ LUX, Varioskan™ ALF, and Multiskan™ SkyHigh readers. Supported tests depend on the instrument model and may include photometric accuracy, precision, wavelength accuracy (verifies simultaneously fluorometric excitation wavelength accuracy) and stray light. With fluorometry, both top and bottom sensitivity and fluorescence emission wavelength accuracy can be verified.
• Spectrophotometric Verification Plate (N03394): Verifies photometric accuracy, precision, linearity, wavelength accuracy, and stray light. Compatible with Varioskan™ LUX, Varioskan™ ALF, and Multiskan™ SkyHigh readers.
• Multiskan Verification Plate, 8 wavelengths (24072800) or 16 wavelengths (24072805): Verifies photometric performance across 8 or 16 wavelengths. Compatible with Multiskan™ Ease (24072800) and Multiskan™ FC (24072800 or 24072805) readers.
• Lumiwell Luminometric Verification Plate (2806460): Provides an independent Relative Light Unit reference for luminometric performance verification. Compatible with Varioskan™ LUX and Varioskan™ ALF readers.

The verification plates include certified optical reference materials appropriate for the supported detection technology. Photometric reference values are traceable to standards from the National Physical Laboratory (NPL, UK) and/or the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST, USA), as specified for each product. A Certificate of Calibration is supplied to support verification documentation.

The products include ready-to-use Thermo Scientific™ SkanIt™ Software sessions loading results automatically to Microsoft™ Excel™ data analysis template files to simplify measurement, result evaluation, and documentation.
