Thermo Scientific™ SureSTART™ High Recovery Glass Screw Top Vials (Level 3) are the premier choice for high-sensitivity LC-MS and GC-MS workflows, delivering reproducible results and exceptional sample protection for demanding applications.

They are available in 3 formats:

  • 1.4 mL (usable volume of 1.0 mL), providing a residual volume of 4μL. This is a fluted 'wineglass' style vial
  • 1.7 mL (usable volume of 1.5 mL), providing a residual volume of 4μL with an internal conical shape bottom.
  • A 1.7 mL silanized version is available for applications that require lower surface activity. The treated surface reduces adsorption of reactive or polar analytes, improving recovery and chromatographic consistency.

High recovery vials maximize the injection volume for <2 mL samples in high-performance applications. For the lowest residual volume, use Thermo Scientific™ Vanquish™ UHPLC Systems equipped with Vial Bottom Detection.

They have lowest metal content, extractables, and leachables - critical for meeting US, EU, and JPN Pharmacopeia standards. They ensure consistent sensitivity and selectivity across HRAM (high-resolution accurate mass) instruments including Thermo Scientific™ LC and GC Orbitrap™ MS systems.

For optimal performance, pair with Thermo Scientific™ SureSTART™ Advanced Vial Closure System (AVCS™) 9 mm caps and septa.

常見問答集 (常見問題)

What are SureSTART High Recovery vials?

These one-piece microvials have an internal conical reservoir which collects liquid in a 30 µL volume for extraction with a conventional autosampler from a total usable volume of 1.7 mL. The outer dimension for these vials is 12 x 32 mm.

What are SureSTART microvials?

Microvials are suitable for use when sample volume is limited or when you need to get maximum recovery from the vial. These vials allow small volumes to be sampled accurately by autosamplers with a recoverable volume of much less than 100 µL. High recovery, total recovery, and vials with fixed inserts are all classed as microvials.
