The Thermo Scientific™ ARL™ QUANT'X EDXRF Spectrometer provides major, minor, and trace element quantification across the broadest range of samples, including bulk solids, granules, loose or pressed powders, fused beads, thin films, pastes, and liquids. Featuring standardless software and accessories, this complete benchtop EDXRF (Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence) system meets the elemental analysis needs of central and contract laboratories, academic institutions as well as the environmental monitoring, chemicals, mining, forensics, food, cement, and metals industries.

The ARL QUANT'X EDXRF spectrometer offers the ultimate in performance, versatility, and reliability of elemental analysis. Its compact desktop design, close-coupled optics and advanced electrically cooled detectors allow for unsurpassed analytical precision in a wide dynamic range from ppm to percent elemental concentrations.

The ARL QUANT’X EDXRF has become even more powerful!  Equipped with a latest generation high performance SDD detectors, the QUANT’X handles high count rates at excellent resolutions, and brings superior performance from light to heavy elements. The ARL QUANT’X shows better sensitivities across the periodic table improving precision and detection limits by factor 2. Alternatively, the counting time can be reduced by factor four on average, increasing sample throughput significantly!

The SDD500G detector brings the latest advance in detection technology and a further performance boost to the ARL QUANT’X spectrometer. The SDD500G delivers spectacular improvements in sensitivity for light elements such as fluorine, and extends its analytical range down to carbon.

常見問答集 (常見問題)

Can EDXRF replace ICP-OES or ICP-MS for my application?

EDXRF can significantly reduce ICP workload by serving as a high-throughput screening tool. Routine samples can be analyzed directly by EDXRF, while only samples requiring trace-level confirmation or regulatory compliance testing are forwarded to ICP, improving laboratory productivity and reducing overall cost per analysis.

Which XRF technology should I choose: EDXRF or WDXRF?

The most appropriate XRF technology depends on analytical requirements. EDXRF is commonly selected for rapid, versatile elemental analysis with minimal sample preparation, while WDXRF is often chosen when applications require higher spectral resolution, enhanced quantitative performance, or lower detection limits.

What factors should I consider when selecting an EDXRF spectrometer?

When selecting an EDXRF spectrometer, laboratories typically evaluate sample types, elemental concentration ranges, required detection limits, throughput requirements, available sample preparation resources, software capabilities, and reporting needs. Matching instrument capabilities to application requirements can help optimize workflow efficiency and analytical performance.

Can the ARL QUANT'X support both routine quality control and research applications?

Yes. The Thermo Scientific ARL QUANT'X Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) Spectrometer is designed to support both routine elemental analysis workflows and research applications. Its ability to analyze a broad range of sample types and concentration levels makes it suitable for quality control, process monitoring, method development, and investigative studies.

Which laboratories are best suited for the ARL QUANT'X EDXRF Spectrometer?

The Thermo Scientific ARL QUANT'X Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) Spectrometer is well suited for environmental, industrial, academic, geological, metals, mining, chemical, and forensic laboratories that require versatile elemental analysis across diverse sample types and concentration ranges.
