Sodium phosphate monobasic is a reagent with very high buffering capacity widely used in molecular biology, biochemistry and chromatography. Useful in conjunction with Sodium Phosphate, Dibasic in the preparation of biological buffers. Used in many applications including the purification of antibodies. It is also used in HPLC. Phosphates are often used in foods and in water treatment. It is added in animal feed, toothpaste, and evaporated milk. It is used as a thickening agent and emulsifier.
