Ponceau S, 0.1% v/v soln. in 5% acetic acid

Ponceau S is used to prepare a stain for rapid reversible detection of protein bands on nitrocellulose or polyvinylidene fluoride membranes, as well as on cellulose acetate membranes. And it is also used as a rapid protein band stain.
