The streptavidin, Alexa Fluor™ 750-allophycocyanin (APC) streptavidin tandem conjugate has excitation and emission maxima at ∼650/779 and is widely used to detect biotinylated probes by flow cytometry in multicolor applications following excitation at 633 nm or 647 nm.
Store in refrigerator (2–8°C) and protect from light.
常見問答集 (常見問題)
Can I use my tandem dye antibody (e.g., Alexa Fluor 610-R-phycoerythrin) for microscopy?
Tandem dyes are not recommended for imaging applications. Both R-PE or APC tend to photobleach quickly and cannot be archived. Any unfolding of the phycobiliprotein would result in loss of fluorescence. They work great in flow cytometry applications.
How should I store my allophycocyanin (APC)-conjugated antibody?
Allophycocyanin-conjugated antibodies must be stored at 2-8 degrees C. Antibodies conjugated to phycobiliproteins (APC, R-PE) must never be frozen. Once frozen, even briefly, they are no longer usable.

'Amine-reactive N-hydroxysuccinimidyl esters of Alexa Fluor fluorescent dyes with principal absorption maxima at about 555 nm, 633 nm, 647 nm, 660 nm, 680 nm, 700 nm, and 750 nm were conjugated to antibodies and other selected proteins. These conjugates were compared with spectrally similar protein conjugates of the Cy3, Cy5, ... More
