The panel of assays in the TaqMan® Array 96-well Human Diabetes Plate targets genes that regulate the expression of insulin in the pancreatic beta cells, as well as genes which play a role in insulin resistance. Additional genes on the panel include transcription factors, signal transduction proteins, transporters, and receptors associated with diabetes. Also on the panel are genes associated with obesity and maintenance of blood sugar levels.
