Panel Description

The panel of assays in the TaqMan® Array 96-well Human Apoptosis Plate targets genes from both of the signaling pathways that initiate mammalian apoptosis, the death receptor regulated pathway and the BCL-2 family pathway. Genes such as capases which are involved in the final mechanisms of both cell death pathways are also present in the panel.

Pathway Information

Apoptosis, or programmed cell death, is a fundamental process crucial to the development and homeostasis of multicellular organisms. Defects in the regulation of apoptosis can result in developmental defects, autoimmune diseases and malignant diseases.
