This peptide corresponds to 19 amino acids near the center of Heartland Virus Glycoprotein 2.
For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 min at 37°C.
The Heartland virus is a newly identified member of the phlebovirus genus of the Bunyaviridae family. Initial reports indicate that symptoms may include fever, fatigue, diarrhea, thrombocytopenia, and leukopenia. The Bunyaviridae family of viruses are spherical enveloped viruses with a tripartite RNA genome of negative or ambisense polarity. The glycoprotein RNA encodes a polyprotein that is cleaved into the G1 and G2 proteins.
