Bioprocessing fluid management involves transferring bioprocess fluids such as media, buffers, and samples within bioprocessing facilities using tubing, filters, bags, bottles, and carboys. Preventing leaks and contamination is crucial, as they can result in costly batch losses and facility contamination. To address this, our products undergo rigorous integrity and leak analysis testing. The novel Thermo Scientific BioTitan Retention Device secures fittings and connections with 360° seal points, significantly reducing the risk of leaks.
Single-use systems generally include a frame, mechanical components, and disposable elements. The parts of the system that contact samples are disposable bags, containers or tubing, typically made of plastic. These pre-sterilized bags and fluid transfer assemblies can be easily replaced after each use, to help minimize contamination risk and help reduce time on cleaning and decontaminating the equipment. Our single-use bags are made from the single-use Thermo Scientific Aegis5-14 film, which is Irgafos-free to support healthier cell cultures.
