An alternative to pipetting devices, dropping bottles, allow for consistent, accurate, repeated reagent dispensing in drop-wise or stream fashion. Dropping bottles feature a dropper control tip that snaps securely into place to provide a leak-proof seal. Dropping bottles may be created from polyethylene or glass and may be clear or amber in color. Polyethylene dropping bottles offer strong chemical resistance and can be used for dispensing most acids, bases, and alcohols. Glass dropping bottles are inert both chemically and biologically. Amber glass droppers protect samples against UV rays, which makes them optimal for light-sensitive materials.
